Between 1927 and 1939, the sitting room fireplace mantle was removed and installed in what was the dinning room but became a living room for the back part of the duplex. In the 1990’s Wally Green owned the back unit and wanted more wall space in his living room. He had the mantle removed and it ended up in an antique shop. There, the mantle was purchased by the owners of the Jenny Wade Bed and Breakfast where it was installed and can still be seen today. It is an identical match to the mantle in the front parlor of the Brinton House. Raul J. Torres purchased two mantles and installed one in the sitting room and the other in the dinning room.
