The Brinton House appraised for $27,000 less than what Raul J. Torres and Kyle O. von Kamp were willing to pay. In order to secure the mortgage, the sellers agreed to pay for the first connection between the two units before the home was sold. Raul and Kyle chose the placement of the doorway. This allowed the home to be appraised as a single family home with a value above the offer.
